Description and Challenges

This project originated from a hacker house community event, where the challenge was to deliver a live demo within a tight deadline of three days. Despite the limited time frame, I managed to bring the product to the minimum viable product (MVP) stage by the deadline.

During the development process, I had the opportunity to collaborate with a UI/UX designer, which introduced me to the skills required for working with design professionals. Integrating their designs into the project proved to be more challenging than anticipated. It took some time to align our visions for the app's functionality and synchronize our efforts. Prior to this project, my experience had primarily been with frontend designers, so we had a shared understanding of technologies and strategies. However, collaborating with a dedicated designer taught me valuable lessons about the design process and exposed me to new technologies. This experience expanded my frontend knowledge and introduced me to a broader range of design concepts.

From a technical perspective, one of the main challenges was that this project marked my first professional use of GraphQL. Implementing GraphQL into the build was an enriching experience that allowed me to reinforce and apply my previous studies in a practical setting.

Professionally, this project served as my initial foray into freelance work. It opened doors for contracting opportunities with Holaplex, where I continued developing products for both their business and community. Static Viewer is an application that I take great pride in, and I look forward to revisiting and enhancing it in the future.
